An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on ward B stroke ward at Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
Ward B consists of a 28 Bedded ward that provides care for patients post stroke where patients continue on the stroke pathway to enable rehabilitation prior to discharge.
The registered nurse will be a key member of the Multi-disciplinary team, providing direct nursing care to patients and ensuring the highest standards are maintained with evidence-based practice.
The postholder will supervise, support, and delegate work appropriately to health care support workers and student nurses, while advocating for patients and their relatives.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a kind and compassionate nurse.
Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.
Promote excellence and improve standards of nursing care by being involved in audits within the clinical area, e.g., infection control audits.

£30,420 to £37,030 a year per annum pro rata.
