As a Floating Care Apprentice, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and person-centred care to individuals in various locations across the UK. This unique apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse care settings while exploring different regions of the country.
You will work as part of a supportive team, assisting individuals with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and ensuring their well-being. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within the care sector.
Our Services:
We currently have three services that you will work across:
* Luton - LU3 - This will be base
* Milton Keynes - NN12
* London - NW2
* West Sussex - BN6
You will need to be able to get all of these services, via driving or public transport.
We are expanding fairly rapidly so more locations will be added in time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing Personal Care: Assisting individuals with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Supporting Daily Living: Helping with meal preparation, medication administration (under supervision), and household tasks.
* Building Relationships: Developing positive and trusting relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
* Following Care Plans: Understanding and implementing individualised care plans to meet specific needs and preferences.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Observing and reporting any changes in service users' conditions or concerns.
* Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensuring the safety and well-being of service users at all times.
* Travelling and Adapting: Being prepared to travel to different locations across the UK, often with short notice, and adapting to new environments and routines.
* Participating in Training and Development: Actively engaging in apprenticeship training and development activities.
* Adhering to Policies and Procedures: Following organisational policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
