MP3 is a hub of community activity situated in the centre of Millbrook, Southampton. It provides community, social, and leisure facilities for local residents. It is managed by Youth Options charity. The facility incorporates a main hall, meeting rooms and a Community Café. We aim to provide a wide range of youth activities and increase p articipation within the local community. As Centre Assistant, youll be working part of a team to manage a community centre and liaising with user groups to best provide access to the facilities. Your role will involve completing bookings, undertake financial and admin responsibilities and ensuring the health and safety within the centre. As Centre Assistant you will have the following - Experience: Liaising with general public or user groups Dealing with difficult situations in a calm manner Working as part of a team Knowledge: Understanding of: The principles and practices of equality and diversity Various computer programmes, such as Word and Excel Customer care principles Health and safety and safe working practices Essential Skills and Competencies: Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills Ability to undertake basic paperwork tasks(Bookings, etc) Ability to follow specific instructions and safe working practices IT skills- Word, Excel and Publisher Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload Why work for us?
