At KSA, we are committed to the performing arts and the incredible impact they have on our students. This year, we established our newly formed Performing Arts Faculty, offering Music, Dance, and Drama, with the ambition of becoming a leading school for performing arts in the area. Due to the internal promotion of a colleague, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Music to join our dedicated, passionate, and talented team.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a music specialist to shape and develop the music curriculum and its wider offer, ensuring students have access to high-quality music education and enrichment opportunities. With Dance and Drama already thriving, Music is the final piece to complete our vision - and you will have the freedom, support, and resources to make it your own.
We are ideally looking for someone who can lead the Music department, helping to drive forward our vision and expand musical opportunities for students. A TLR is available for the right candidate, providing an exciting opportunity for leadership and curriculum development within the faculty.
Our music department is exceptionally well-resourced, providing fantastic opportunities for both curriculum and extracurricular music-making. We have:
* A full set of rock and pop instruments, including electric and bass guitars, drums, and amplifiers.
* A class set of ukuleles and keyboards, supporting whole-class instrumental learning.
* Two large classrooms, one of which is a fully equipped computer suite for music technology lessons.
* A fully equipped recording studio for composition, performance, and production work.
* Generous practice room space with purpose-built rehearsal areas, each fitted with instruments.
* A trust-appointed technician to support with technical elements across performing arts, ensuring smooth delivery of productions, recording sessions, and music technology integration.
Our students are enthusiastic, engaged, and keen to participate in performances, concerts, and musical projects both within the school and in the wider community. This is an exciting time to join us and be part of something special!
We are a school that believes in making a difference, guided by the philosophy that "kids do well if they can." Our approach is inclusive, aspirational, and rooted in the belief that every child deserves to experience the joy and discipline of the performing arts.
What We Can Offer You:
* Daily allowance for breakfast and lunch.
* A modern building with fantastic facilities and resources.
* A supportive and friendly community of staff and students.
* A full induction programme.
