Hygiene Supervisor Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6PJ As Hygiene Supervisor, you will support the Technical Manager in maintaining BRC standards, GMP, and customer requirements. You'll manage Hygiene Management Systems, ensure site cleanliness, oversee pest control contracts, and supervise the hygiene team. Additionally, you'll assist the Quality Manager and Compliance Coordinator when needed. Position type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 Breaks: 30 minutes Pay range : £29,300 per annum Manage the Hygiene Operatives. Conduct internal audits and actively participate in the internal auditing team. Publish, trend, and utilise quality and food safety measures to drive improvements. Develop hygiene systems to meet group and customer requirements, achieving Gold standard quality as measured by major retail customers. Maintain Grade A or above BRC certification and customer technical compliance standards. Manage and enhance hygiene systems across the site. Collaborate with the Training department to write and review SOPs and procedures for best practices. Drive continuous improvement in factory hygiene and quality systems to ensure compliance. Plan and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, ensuring timely completion. Attend meetings with customers and external stakeholders, reporting back required actions. Review and manage site CIC cards, ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations. Implement and review hygiene cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning, allergen cleaning, interim cleaning, and tank cleaning. Work closely with Production and Technical teams to ensure hygiene and pest control plans are in place and executed. Identify and address issues related to pest control, laundry, and consumables, reporting to the technical manager promptly. Ensure hygiene activities meet required standards with no outstanding issues. Maintain consumables within budget and ensure stock levels are adequate. Achieve reduction in cleaning costs and increase plant availability. Essential: Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) & Compliance within food manufacturing. Required HACCP Level 3 Required Taste Panel Member Level 3 Food Hygiene Highly organised with time management Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Prioritisation skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Confident in presenting and promoting ideas. Building relationships and bringing your team together Influence and communicate. Ability to demonstrate clear leadership skills. Experience as a Manager / Supervisor Experience of pest control Knowledge of customer codes of practice and hygiene standards Ability to write, interpret and present risk assessments. Experience of training others/coaching and the ability to confirm understanding when managing staff. Ability to manage people, quality or health and safety issues and confident to escalate these issues when required.
