The post holder will work as part of the programme management office (PMO), providing a range of project management skills and expertise to our programme and its workstreams.
A key requirement of the role will be to drive activities and deliverables within the programme and its workstreams, in conjunction with and supported by the programme team.
It is essential that the post holder is able to exercise initiative suitable to the role and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the programme team.
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of local hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester boroughs (population 357K).
The Trust provides high quality planned and unplanned/emergency care, cardiac and critical care as well as child health, maternity services, and intermediate care across our sites at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.

· Support the management of projects within workstreams with an emphasis on delivery, including the development of project plans, ensuring consistency with the programme’s goals and objectives
· Support the management of the programme using internal Project Management tools and ensure through presentations, training and leadership that staff involved in the project, are aware of the standardised methodology being used.
· Work with workstream leads to ensure progress against programme and actions
· Provide project management advice, instruction or training to groups or individuals as required
· To identify risks and issues that arise and liaise with the PMO Risk Manager and Workstream leads to mitigate and monitor following the risk management process guide
· Ensure change control processes are followed and documented accordingly
· Support the procurement processes for tendering of professional advisors, including developing tender packs for issue and evaluation
· Support with contract management of professional advisors, acting as contract administrator for NEC contracts
· Generating and maintaining core project documents such as the Project Initiation Document, Work plans and Project Closure documents within workstreams
· The post holder must be able to prioritise workload and be sufficiently flexible to achieve task and milestone deadlines.
· Collation of information from various sources ensuring analysis and interpretation of data is robust and clearly presented and delivered in the most appropriate medium i.e. presentations, e-mails, hard copies etc.
· To develop robust links with key programme stakeholders and to support the identification and management of key dependencies.
· Assist with the management of key stakeholders, including liaising with the suppliers and other external parties
· To gain co-operation, lead, fully involve and motivate all relevant staff groups through the workstreams, setting up working groups/task and finish groups to achieve deliverables
· Have a data and evidence based approach to supporting decision making and supporting the delivery of projects to identified time, cost and quality parameters.
· To produce, analyse, interpret and present high quality complex project information on a monthly basis for workstreams.
· Whilst the post holder will be expected to be responsible for their own actions as defined in this job description, they must keep the PMO Lead aware of any significant events or issues that may have an impact on the delivery of the programme. In particular those that affect the timeline of a project, the project costs or the agreed project benefits.
· The post holder is expected to have above average keyboard skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel.
· The post holder will be expected to deliver presentations associated with projects to a variety of groups made up of a cross section of trust stakeholders, managers and employees who may be affected by the change process.
