About The Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our busy, high performing Housing Services Team. Our Neighbourhood Housing Officers play a vital role in achieving this vision by providing support, fostering good relationships, and ensuring tenants are able to sustain their tenancies in well-maintained homes. About the Role: As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will be a key figure in delivering our mission of empowerment by ensuring tenants can maintain their homes, stay engaged with their communities, and navigate any challenges they may face. You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies, and making sure that homes are kept to a high standard. Your work will directly contribute to our vision of opening doors and eliminating barriers, creating a positive environment for both tenants and the wider community. Key Responsibilities: Manage properties in a designated area, ensuring tenants sustain their tenancies and comply with tenancy agreements. Support tenants with rent payments, tenancy conditions, and property maintenance. Address any issues of anti-social behaviour (ASB) by working with the Tenancy Enforcement Team. Identify safeguarding or vulnerability concerns and signpost tenants to the appropriate agencies for support. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Voids, Income, Asset Management) to minimise void rent loss, reduce arrears, and ensure properties are well-maintained. Collaborate with external agencies to support tenants and improve community well-being.
