Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. Being client-focused is an essential attribute, and you will be able to demonstrate solid experience of working in a design capacity and a good working knowledge of building services installations. Working as part of a team, you will be expected to manage your own work and undertake detailed design to the required standards.
You would be based in either our Manchester or Liverpool office and work on multidisciplinary projects, joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
* To take a key role representing AECOM on MEP projects, leading your own discipline and managing engineers of complementary disciplines.
* Able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of your discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.
* Complete detailed designs and support the supervision of the work of others in this function.
* Demonstrate good attention to detail and show pride in the work produced.
* Have an ability to inspire confidence in team members both internally and externally, and then use this to strengthen team client relationships.
* To mentor and assist with the development of junior engineers.
* Manage your own time on projects to suit deadlines and complete your assigned tasks.
* To have a strong interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers that fit with our culture and have experience working digitally by coding, working in IESVE.
You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to design and deliver Building Services projects.
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant experience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industry (preferable).
* Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
* Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, able to inspire, influence, and negotiate.
* Available to make decisions, act on your own initiative, and operate in a proactive way.
* Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion.
Qualifications:
* Being a qualified Engineer having a proven and demonstrable track record in their discipline.
* Having a CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree, or a HNC in an applicable discipline with a commitment to continue with higher education.
* To have achieved or be working towards IEng or CEng status.
