Our Investigations & Compliance team helps clients to establish the facts in relation to an incident, loss or misconduct and then to remediate and recover value. We are experienced in managing diverse issues including fraud and misconduct, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and modelling and much more.
As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key member of the delivery team, under the supervision of the Engagement Manager. You may also be required to lead workstream(s) within broader client engagements, and/or oversee the work of others in delivering your work. You will also be expected to contribute to business development activities, including marketing, knowledge sharing and practice development.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Supporting a portfolio of Forensic I&C engagements, ranging from financial, fraud or misconduct investigations, through to proactive risk management and regulatory driven compliance work, and Forensic in the Audit (FITA)
* Working independently in delivering your work on an engagement, under overall supervision of the Engagement Leader/Manager
* Contributing to the preparation of reports and sections thereof for Manager/ Senior Manager/ Director/ Partner review
* Supporting with engagement management activities (risk / finance) as required
* Engaging credibly with stakeholders at clients on behalf of KPMG, communicating clearly
* Developing a network of relevant internal and external contacts through quality delivery on engagements
* Contributing to the development of proposals/ bids for future work
* Recognising the importance of continuous self-development and actively striving to achieve this
Leadership & Management:
As an I&C Assistant Manager you will be expected to be a key member of the delivery team, working on engagements of varying size. You may also be required to lead workstream(s) within broader client engagements, and/or oversee the work of both onshore and offshore colleagues, contractors and/or colleagues from other member firms in the delivery of your work, ensuring that work is produced to a high quality.
As an I&C Assistant Manager you may be expected to liaise directly with clients, client’s external counsel, senior members of the KPMG team and other third parties as required. You may be supporting multiple senior level stakeholders across multiple projects at any one time.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
Assistant Managers are responsible for the successful delivery and quality standards of their work. Every engagement will have a senior KPMG Engagement Leader and Engagement Manager to oversee the work, and Assistant Managers are expected to work with them, as well as other Managers and Senior Managers within the delivery team to escalate key delivery risks, ensure regular status updates and quality management reviews are held.
The Person
* Chartered Professional Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent and/or relevant experience as set out below.
* A broad range of accounting-based experience across clients, sectors and services, and a minimum of 1 year of Forensic engagements, such as: investigations, fraud risk management, dispute advisory and/or regulatory compliance
* Experience in statutory audit, financial accounting, financial misstatements and/or forensic support to audits beneficial
* Demonstrable experience of contributing to effectively to projects, including elements of financial and risk management is preferable
* Experience in identifying key findings in Forensic projects and/or effectively deploying logical thought processes and scepticism
* Proven ability to articulate complex and technical findings in both written and oral presentations for a variety of audiences
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation and an enquiring mind
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
* Confidence and ability to quickly establish credibility with clients and senior colleagues
* Confidence in challenging existing ways of working and ways of thinking
* Strong people skills, including an ability to inspire and develop more junior colleagues and work well in teams
* An ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external contacts
* An enthusiasm to get involved in marketing activity and in developing the Forensic I&C practice
