Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Blackpool Council, Supporting and Strengthening Families Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The responsibilities will include:
1. As a social worker in Supporting and Strengthening Families teams, you will have a keen interest in those children in need of help and protection.
2. Work with children subject to child protection procedures, complex child in need, PLO/Pre Proceedings, and on the Edge of Care.
3. Work intensively with families utilizing a strength-based approach to practice that is creative and innovative, enabling families to develop resilience and sustainability.
4. Strive to improve outcomes and the lived experience of our children.
5. Quality of practice will be supported by regular supervision, excellent training opportunities, and tools and resources readily available to assist in your day-to-day work.
6. Manage a varied and complex case load.
7. Ability to write concise, fit-for-purpose reports/court statements and maintain up-to-date and accurate records.
37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
3 month Temporary Contract
Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
