We are recruiting a full-time Therapeutic Care Worker to join our children’s homes based in Burnley, East Lancashire. Life Change Care offers a therapeutic environment for young people aged 10-17 upon admission, in a home which can accommodate up to 4 young people. We follow our trauma-informed emotional regulation (TIER) practice model, which is embedded in all our homes, and we are proud to be part of the Five Rivers Family. As a Therapeutic Care Worker, you will be part of the team providing a supportive, nurturing environment that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. You will support our young people through day-to-day needs, participate in activities, and celebrate milestones. You will be part of an established team providing the care and support needed to turn children’s lives around. You wont need specific experience for this role as we will train, teach and guide you through everything you need to know to be successful. We are looking for people who want to make a difference to young people and who are patient and resilient when times are challenging. Key Criteria • Good written, verbal and IT communication skills • Full Driving UK Driving Licence (desirable) • Due to the age of our young people, you must be over the age of 21 to apply for this role Hours 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, this includes weekend, evenings and sleep ins Sleep-ins: you will be expected to complete at least two sleep-ins per week.
