About the role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Hoveringham. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe electrical maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and systems. Your work will help to ensure that all plant and equipment remains operational and serviced in line with planned preventative maintenance schedules.
This role involves working on a rotating 8-hour shift pattern, including night shifts, with opportunities for mid-week and weekend overtime. A standard working week would be Monday to Friday.
What duties will I have?
Conduct electrical repairs and basic mechanical tasks (where competent and authorised).
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on plant equipment and systems.
Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks to high standards.
Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a "clean as you go" policy.
Perform periodic inspections of plant and equipment in compliance with legislation.
Report any defects to the appropriate manager immediately.
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Keep issued PPE in good condition and adhere to company safety standards.
Assist in weekend manufacturing on a rotation basis, particularly during busy periods.
What skills / experience do I need?
Time-served qualification in Electrical Engineering (e.g., apprenticeship).
City and Guilds Level 3 / BTEC or equivalent.
BS7671 – 17th Edition or later.
Previous experience working in a heavy industry factory environment (preferred).
IOSH Managing Safely certification (ideal).
Working at height experience (preferred).
IPAF (3A/3B) and FLT up to 5T counter-balance certification (advantageous).
What is the pay for this role?
£39300 basic salary.
Shift allowance enhancement is 8.75% of basic salary for days (phone number removed) and afters (phone number removed) shifts. 20% for night shift (phone number removed)
Overtime is paid at x1.5 for midweek and Saturday. x2 for Sunday and Bank Holidays.
