MECHANICAL ENGINEER POSITION IN LITTLEHAMPTON
Who we are looking for
We are looking for mechanically adept individuals who can assist with various tasks involving preventive maintenance and repair of amusement park attractions, machinery, and rides.
Successful candidates will need:
1. To be able to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
2. The ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at varied elevations including rooftops and ride platforms at working heights up to 10m.
3. Level 3 Diploma/ IVQ / BTEC in a Mechanical Engineering related subject.
4. Hold a full driving license B / B1.
About the role
Type: Permanent.
Location: Littlehampton
Hours: 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri (Winter)
09:00-18:00 Mon-Fri (Summer)
Salary: £32,000-£39,000 (Dependent on experience)
The role will include:
1. Working as part of a 3-man team.
2. Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions to ensure that machines operate to their maximum potential through full and correct checks, maintenance, and repairs both to schedules and as faults occur.
3. Diagnosing mechanical and/or electrical faults or technical problems and determining proper repair solutions and practically delivering them.
4. Ensuring that mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical maintenance and repairs are correctly and properly carried out and recorded.
5. Ensuring that the company operates day to day within the requirements of HSG 175 for the safe use of fairground equipment and other mandatory health and safety legislation.
6. Assisting and advising the maintenance team lead and directors with safety-related procedures and practices, including monitoring or recording these practices for the equipment. This will include working with independent inspection bodies for various equipment inspections.
7. Occasionally required to adopt a flexible approach to individual manual handling tasks and pair or team lifting tasks.
