What we’re looking for…
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to launch a rewarding career as an Engineering Technician. With a focused, hands-on apprenticeship, gain unparalleled practical experience in a fast-paced, real-world setting, working directly with advanced, high-speed machinery. Master the art of using specialised tools and equipment, accurately interpret technical drawings, and hone your essential problem-solving abilities to effectively maintain the equipment at site. Solidify your skills with comprehensive theoretical and practical training at Bedford College, culminating invaluable, industry-recognised skills and qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include...
As Apprentice Engineering Technician your responsibilities will include;
* Assist experienced engineers with the upkeep of a variety of high speed manufacturing equipment within FMCG
* Learn and apply engineering principles and techniques under supervision.
* Participate in the manufacturing or fabrication of components and assemblies.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and contribute to project documentation.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Use and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Attend Bedford college to complete mandatory training when required to complete your apprenticeship program.
* Attend OEM and site specific equipment training.
* Proactively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills.
What you’ll bring...
The successful candidate will have;
* A strong interest in engineering and a passion for learning.
* GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science at grade C/4 or above, or predicted grades.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
* A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
* Good problem-solving skills.

* A structured multi skilled 4 year apprenticeship program leading to a nationally recognised qualification Level 3 Engineering Technician (Mechatronics)
