Senior Biomedical Scientist - Andrology Lead
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is looking for an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist for a busy Andrology department based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.

Main duties of the job
The Andrology Department processes samples using both manual and automated methodologies. The service is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189.
You will be responsible for the general day to day operation of the Andrology department and lead a small team to produce consistently high quality results.
You will represent the Andrology service at a range of meetings both internally and at national Andrology networks and provide expertise to achieve high standard care to our patients.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Recognised depth of knowledge within specialist microbiology field.
* Previous experience with mentoring / teaching junior staff.
Skills
* Recognised team leading skills
* Demonstrable excellent time management skills
Experience
* Ability to understand and explain complex new technologies / information
* Taken on additional specialist technical duties within Microbiology
Qualifications
* MSc or Higher Specialist
* Enrolled / working towards Higher specialist portfolio
