Overview of role Our Power, Process & Nuclear division is recruiting for a Project Principal to provide leadership and management to our growing team in UK. You'll create growth opportunity through strong client relationships ensuring bids and management of projects including compliance with Group directives and policies, focusing on customer priorities. You'll develop skills and awareness of the functional teams as we aim to build and upskill these functions. You'll report to the European Development Manager and work with Account Leaders regarding specific bids and projects as well as contributing to the leadership of the nuclear team in Europe. Key Responsibilities Support the management and growth of our Nuclear key locations. Support selection of technical staff Develop strong and robust client relationships Grow and develop key accounts within Mott MacDonald in response to organisational needs and Mott MacDonald strategy Identifying opportunities and turning them into prospects Ensure we are delivering commercially robust proposals through application of a customer focused approach and appropriate innovation in delivery Drive the bidding process, converting prospects into projects ensuring bids are technically and commercially sound. Manage risk and commercial performance on the projects. Work effectively with the Resource Manager and the Sector/Practice Leaders to bring the right resources to deliver the project to the client's satisfaction and meeting Mott MacDonald's profit or contribution targets. Lead appropriate account meetings with client and senior level management involvement Address client's issues and fulfilling their aspirations on sustainability Lead and put in place appropriate technical guidance, training and knowledge sharing, to manage budgets, deliver technical excellence, direct and manage divisional projects. Deliver technical excellence to - working capital, betterment of Detailed Design, Advanced Analysis, Waste Management/Environmental, Safety Case, Digital and Process functions. Candidate Specification: Degree : Engineering, Project Management, or related field. Nuclear Sector : Proven track record in managing and growing key locations. Technical Skills : Expertise in Detailed Design, Advanced Analysis, Waste Management, Safety Case, Digital, and Process functions. Leadership : Strong ability to guide teams and manage projects. Client Relations : Excellent at building and maintaining client relationships. Business Development : Skilled in identifying opportunities and growing key accounts. Bidding : Experienced in driving the bidding process and ensuring sound proposals. Resource Management : Effective collaboration with Resource Managers and Sector Leaders. Sustainability : Committed to addressing client sustainability goals. Training : Capable of leading technical guidance and knowledge sharing. Strategic Thinker : Aligns with organizational strategy. Innovative : Customer-focused with a knack for innovative solutions. Communicator : Excellent at engaging with senior management.
