Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The Maternity Services provides newly qualifying midwives with an excellent, comprehensive induction and bespoke preceptorship package. You will be working in a supportive and kind environment with your wellbeing and professional development placed at the very centre of your midwifery career.
Our preceptorship programme offers you the opportunity to gain confidence in both the hospital and community setting to help develop your midwifery skills and achieve your band 6 competencies within 18 months of joining the Trust.

Qualifications / Training Required
* Registered midwife on relevant part of the NMC Register including newly qualified
* Diploma or degree in midwifery
Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
* Competent clinical skills and knowledge across all areas of midwifery practice
* Understanding of clinical priorities
Aptitudes and Skills Required
* Demonstrates the ability to make clinical decisions and will seek support and guidance to assist in the decision process
* Can demonstrate a forward thinking approach to midwifery care, women’s choice.
* Experience in inter professional and team working
* Commitment to personal development and achievement of clinical competencies within a certain negotiated timeframe
