Honiton Leisure Centre is a thriving hub for health, fitness, and recreation, offering high-quality facilities and activities for
all ages and abilities. We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Duty Manager to play a key role in delivering exceptional
leisure experiences to our community.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Duty Manager, you will support the Leisure Manager in the safe, efficient, and effective running of the centre, deputising in
their absence. You will provide leadership, motivation, and supervision to staff, ensuring high standards of customer service,
safety, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
✅ Overseeing daily operations and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment.
✅ Leading a key area such as sports, group exercise, swimming, or fitness.
✅ Managing customer service, handling queries, and promoting membership sales.
✅ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
✅ Managing First Aid and emergency responses when required.
✅ Supporting financial administration, cash handling, and IT-based management systems.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
✔ Previous duty management experience in a leisure or similar environment.
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
✔ Knowledge of current leisure industry legislation and customer service best practices.
✔ IT competence, including Leisure Management Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
✔ National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid at Work Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
