Are you an enthusiastic and highly organised individual looking for a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment? An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department (ED) as our Rota Co-ordinator. This is an integral role which offers the chance to make a real impact by ensuring smooth operations within our emergency services.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in coordinating and managing daily medical rotas for the ED. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-site teams, fostering a teamwork approach and mutual support to balance workloads effectively.
As the Rota Co-ordinator, you’ll provide comprehensive administrative support to the Service Manager, overseeing the smooth delivery of rotas across sites. Your primary goal will be to meet service objectives with efficiency and precision. A key focus will be ensuring that the department is staffed to optimal levels each day, maximising the skills and potential of the team. You’ll also play a vital role in supporting staff training and development, ensuring our team is equipped for success.
If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for organisation, this role is your chance to shine.
We’re looking for someone who can prioritise workloads with ease, solve problems proactively, and thrive under pressure—all while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to escalate issues effectively when necessary. While you’ll be a vital part of a supportive team, the ability to work independently and use your initiative is equally important.
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in the timely delivery of rotas, ensuring the department is always adequately staffed. You’ll be responsible for accurately tracking both planned and unplanned absences, such as annual leave or sickness, ensuring records are precise and up-to-date.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to expand their administrative expertise and take the next step toward a career in operations.
