SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Wilmslow
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Wilmslow. This is a full-time position starting in October and will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.

* Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and helping them to overcome barriers to learning. Your duties will include:
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs
* Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation, particularly in creating resources and activities that support students with learning difficulties
* Supporting students with specific learning plans, helping them engage with the curriculum in a way that best suits their needs
* Helping to develop and implement strategies to support students’ social, emotional, and academic progress
* Monitoring student progress and working closely with the school’s SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to adapt support plans as necessary
* Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students to build confidence in their abilities
* Assisting with interventions to help students develop key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and communication
* Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students who may find mainstream school life challenging
* Supporting students in managing their behaviour and developing effective coping strategies
* Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to participate and succeed
What We’re Looking For:
* A strong passion for supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
* Experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable but not essential
* The ability to work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support for students
* A proactive and flexible attitude, able to adapt to the changing needs of students and the classroom
* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education, SEN support, or pastoral care
