An exciting opportunity has arisen for two people to join our Highway Maintenance Asset Management team, which is responsible for the maintenance of highways, bridges, street lighting and public rights of way within the Borough.
You will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of highway maintenance schemes and contracts, and in the checking of highway construction and design in relation to private developments.
The post is career graded, so you can join us as an Assistant Technician (Band 1), with the opportunity to develop in the role whilst studying at college on day release, or as an experienced Technician (Band 5), Senior Technician (Band 8), or Assistant Engineer (Band 9).
An excellent candidate will be IT literate (capable of using Microsoft Office applications including Word/Excel etc.), have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, have the ability to work accurately and with attention to detail, and have the capability to organise their own work with minimum supervision.
Hybrid working is available (where appropriate) or you can choose to work from Allington Way Depot.
