Up to £85,000 + Excellent Benefits

As a Principle Infrastructure Engineer and Team Lead, you will manage and oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of critical IT Infrastructure in a high-stakes environment. Leading a small, specialist team, you’ll ensure the reliability and scalability of on-premises systems.
Your Responsibilities:
Maintain, optimise and enhance IT Infrastructure, including configuration management and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices
Lead fault resolution processes and troubleshoot complex issues systematically
Design and deploy new infrastructure components, including network devices, virtual machines, containers and workflows
Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions for real-time insights
Foster Agile and DevOps practices within the team to enhance operational efficiency and delivery quality
Standardise and document end-user device build processes for secure and consistent system integration
Mentor and empower Engineers, fostering their professional growth What You’ll Need:
Extensive knowledge of Networking, Enterprise Operating Systems and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Cisco, Linux, Windows Server)
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to delegate, prioritise and manage workloads effectively
Strong troubleshooting capabilities and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
Experience with scripting languages (Python or Bash) and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and iterative workflows. What’s in It for You:
