As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for working under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Successful candidates will attend the GROW Programme, which is the QEHKL enhanced induction programme. This includes mandatory training (the training that all clinical staff at the hospital complete), where you will be taught the fundamental skills needed to perform your role and attend the Caring with Kindness programme (essential learning from patient experience). The course is very practical, allowing you plenty of time to practice new skills before you start your new role.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Workers to join our teams and support them in providing effective care in a safe and therapeutic environment. We have vacancies across the Trust and are offering positions in all areas. The successful applicants must have:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate flexibility
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as make decisions autonomously
* Willingness to undertake further training and mandatory updates as deemed necessary
Previous experience of working within a care environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential, as you will be supported while learning the role. You will attend a comprehensive induction programme and will be supported to complete the care certificate.
