About the Role As a Network Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of the technical support team, responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex network incidents within a secure, shared-service environment. This role is suited for a Cisco-certified network professional with hands-on experience in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting network systems using Cisco, Fortinet, and ideally Juniper technologies. You will ensure network stability and resilience, particularly for systems operating in mission-critical contexts, supporting high service uptime and reliability. Key Responsibilities • Configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and ASA devices, as well as Fortinet FortiGate and Juniper SRX firewalls. • Resolve 3rd line network incidents and provide root cause analysis for complex issues across cross-domain services. • Support live-service network environments with a focus on military-grade resilience and high availability. • Collaborate within a small but growing team of infrastructure engineers, working directly with the 3rd Line Support Manager. Ideal Candidate • Cisco Certified (CCNA or equivalent) with substantial experience in Cisco and Fortinet technologies; familiarity with Juniper SRX is highly desirable. • Proficient in network protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. • Strong knowledge of NAT, GRE Tunneling, DMVPN, subnetting, and supernetting. • Previous experience supporting network infrastructure in defence or similarly high-stakes environments is an asset.
