Purpose Of Role
Reporting to the Senior New Business Executive, New Business Executives are the first point of contact for inbound enquiries through our digital marketing channels, and play a key role in supporting the development of new business through making outbound sales and marketing calls. Allica’s New Business Executives will be responsible for building rapport with business owners and commercial property investors, understanding their plans through engaging and asking questions, and by applying their knowledge of Allica’s solutions and credit appetite to determine whether the bank could support before introducing a Relationship Manager.
With the support of our Marketing, Growth Squad and Data teams, our New Business Executives will be responsible for both qualifying and generating a variety of new business leads/enquiries including Business Reward Accounts, deposits, commercial mortgages, and asset finance.
Our New Business Executives will work closely alongside our Relationship Management Teams to ensure that new to bank prospects receive exemplary customer service and a great first and lasting impression of Allica Bank.
It is vital that our New Business Executives are confident and capable at identifying and qualifying business leads through proactive telephone-based outreach efforts, whilst being able to build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners and stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities
1. To support inbound enquiries to Allica from potential clients that find us through our marketing and digital sales channels.
2. Working with lists of both warm and cold SME prospects to generate high quality asset finance, commercial mortgage business current account and deposit leads, to be qualified and handed to an appropriate Relationship Manager (RM) within Allica.
3. Often being the first Allica representative that SMEs speak to, so always being professional, courteous and friendly, and always exhibiting a real passion to provide support and value to business owners.
4. Proactively engaging and staying up to date with Allica’s growing product/solution suite, so that you can identify current and future opportunities, becoming ever more efficient and effective at engaging and qualifying prospects.
5. Maintaining and improving our customer relationship management (CRM) system, playing a key role in ensuring that we have the best insight and understanding of established SMEs in our industry.
6. Working with our Marketing, Growth Squad, Data and Relationship Management teams to feedback your learnings from customer interactions, helping us to drive ever better customer targeting, segmentation and messaging.
7. Being helpful in signposting reputable alternative options for SMEs with needs that cannot be fulfilled by Allica, for example because of our lending risk appetite or product coverage.
8. Supporting delivering the business plan for the New Business Executives and actively managing your objectives and personal development plan.
9. Making your colleagues proud that you represent Allica, by ensuring excellent service for our SME customers, prospects and advisors.
10. Working closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided.
11. Complying with all mandatory policies, and adherence to operational procedures to maintain internal controls.
Personal Attributes & Experience
1. You will have a proven track record in telephone-based lead generation from established SMEs (typically 10-250 employee firms), including developing business from cold prospecting.
2. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with evidence of outperformance in similar roles through earning customer and colleague trust.
3. You will have experience in needs based/consultative selling, with the ability to converse with different audiences from business owners to finance directors.
4. An ability to manage pipeline and workflow effectively through CRM tools and systems.
5. You should have a good general understanding of SME finance products and processes, and ideally specific expertise in commercial property lending, asset finance and SME banking services.
6. You will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with specialist colleagues such as Relationship Managers and underwriters, to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers and potential clients.
7. You’ll have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service, and in generating new income opportunities whilst always considering risk and reputation.
8. You’ll demonstrate an ability to understand SME financial accounts and associated information.
