The Key Account Manager is responsible for nurturing strategic customer relationships, ensuring deep alignment with their goals and addressing their unique challenges. Leveraging proven Key Account Management methodologies, this role supports customers by integrating Alcumus Services and ISO certification to drive value. By collaborating closely with Alcumus product teams, the Key Account Manager will maximize sustainable, predictable revenue and profit growth.
What that means day to day
Collaborate with Customers to Achieve Success:
1. Conduct Key Account mapping to understand their business goals and strategies.
2. Identify key stakeholders and manage their needs and expectations.
3. Establish and monitor Management Information (MI) requirements.
4. Oversee the entire customer lifecycle, including initial assessments, ongoing surveillance, recertification, and service extensions.
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service:
1. Develop a shared roadmap and action plan with the customer to maximize value, expand connections, and drive revenue growth.
2. Collaborate with and manage stakeholders to ensure consistent, sustainable service delivery.
Contribute to Broader Team Goals:
1. Work with your line manager to support broader group objectives.
Manage a Portfolio of Key Accounts:
1. Oversee contract renewals and ensure smooth account management.
2. Address escalated finance inquiries and invoicing issues.
3. Manage purchase order escalations and conduct regular customer review meetings (quarterly/bi-annual).
4. Identify and facilitate cross-selling opportunities.
Support Product Development and Go-to-Market Strategy:
1. Actively contribute to the design of the product development roadmap.
2. Assist in developing and implementing the go-to-market strategy.
What you’ll need to be successful
Essential:
1. 2+ years in a Key Account Manager or equivalent role.
2. Proven experience in consultative, solution-based selling.
3. Strong influencing and people management abilities.
4. Skilled in financial management, including forecasting, profitability analysis, and managing aged debt.
5. High level of understanding of market dynamics and business impact.
6. Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders toward shared objectives.
7. Dynamic and agile, with the ability to thrive in a highly regulated environment.
8. A proactive mindset focused on ongoing development and improvement.
Desirable:
1. Experience gained within a Certification body.
2. Experience in the field of quality, environment and health and safety.
3. Experience within information security.
