Specific Hours : 2 hours per week - evenings (currently Monday evenings 18:00-20:00) Sessional Teacher of BSL (Community Learning) Provisional Interview Date: Monday 13 th January 2025 Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a sessional teacher of British Sign Language to join our Adult and Community Learning teaching team based at our Roundhouse or Ilkeston campus. The Opportunity You’ll be available to deliver our non-accredited, introduction to BSL classes which take place on one evening per week at either our Roundhouse or Ilkeston Campus as required. Each course will run for 12 hours over 6 weeks, this will be subject to sufficient student numbers. You’ll be responsible for successfully planning and delivering lessons, ensuring, and monitoring progress of learners and entering learner data on our administrative systems. You’ll be a person who has a passion for teaching BSL to adults and have excellent interpersonal skills. It is essential that you hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and have achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.
