Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Band 5 Pharmacy Technician – Higher Level to join the Pharmacy team at North Devon District Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative healthcare environment, supporting both the inpatient and outpatient areas within Planned Care and Surgery.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide a high standard of pharmaceutical care to patients, supporting safe, effective, and efficient medicines management
*
Work closely with pharmacists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the timely supply and optimisation of medication
*
Support the implementation of medicines reconciliation, discharge planning, and adherence initiatives
*
Contribute to audits, stock control, and quality improvement projects within the department
*
Maintain compliance with departmental SOPs, Trust policies, and professional standards
Requirements:
*
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
*
Completion of an accredited Medicines Management or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (desirable)
*
Experience working in a hospital or primary care setting
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
*
Experience with electronic prescribing and medicines administration (EPMA) systems
*
Knowledge of NHS processes and governance frameworks
