Crime Paralegal role involves providing high-quality legal service to clients, gaining competency to practice as a solicitor in a supported environment. Key responsibilities include case and transaction management, administration, development, and personal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case and Transaction Management: Conduct interviews with clients, assess legal problems, advise on costs, conduct legal research, and deliver transactional goals.
* Administration: Maintain training records, conduct self-appraisal, participate in supervision, complete time recording, and maintain files.
* Development: Gain competency in skill standards, participate in team meetings, keep up to date with law and practice, and assist business development.
* Personal Skills: Provide professional, efficient, and friendly service to clients, and have a driving license.
* Interpersonal Skills: Communicate clearly and appropriately with other parties, and maintain excellent working relationships.
* Organisational Skills: Assist in case preparation, prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines.
Requirements:
* Completed LPC or SQE qualifications.
* Police station accreditation desirable.
* Previous criminal litigation experience beneficial.
Location: Dewsbury
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
