We are looking for a Senior Administrator to join our team at Marfleet Group Practice. As a Senior Administrator, you will support the administration team, contributing to the planning and development of the service. You will also be involved in planning and organizing ACCURX campaigns, assist the Practice Lead with staff rotas, and induct and supervise less experienced employees.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have skills in all areas of administrative functions to enable them to support the senior team, including excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
The successful candidate will have good keyboard skills enabling them to assist in creating, developing, and maintaining reports.
Job responsibilities
1. Demonstrate a competent level of inter-personal skills when providing information of a non-clinical nature to staff, carers, patients/external agencies, maintaining the Practice standards of customer service.
2. Understand security/health and safety processes and procedures, as required.
3. Make judgements in resolving problems of a patient or administrative nature within pre-defined limits, referring anything of a complex nature to senior staff.
4. Deal with all enquiries effectively and responsively, deciding upon appropriate follow-up action.
5. Plan and organise own day-to-day tasks within the parameters set out by supervising staff.
6. Assist with the arrangement of meetings, may be required to take notes of a non-complex nature.
7. Knowledge of the Practice's policies and procedures e.g., Fire, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Information Governance, and Confidentiality.
8. Provide cover for colleagues, working flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
9. Maintain records both manually and electronically, producing routine information as required.
10. Maintain confidentiality, in line with the Practice's Code of Conduct.
11. Adhere to the provisions of current Health and Safety legislation and ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues, patients, and visitors. Be aware of the action to be taken in the event of fire and undertake fire training annually.
Person Specification
Experience
* NHS Experience preferred or a minimum of 5 years customer service.
Qualifications
* A good standard of Maths and English.
* Experience of using software packages, including Microsoft Word/Outlook.
