Were looking for dedicated Practice Nurses to bring their knowledge and enthusiasm to our forward-thinking primary care services.Since1st of September 2023 we have delivered care services to patients and communities across 3 sites in Milton Keynes: Brooklands, Whitehouse and Neath Hill surgeries.
The Practice Nurse will play an important role in the future of the service and will be part of a wider team, who can be agile, innovative, and future focused.
Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, demonstrate adaptability to change, and be confident working autonomously. They should be eager to work within non-traditional care systems and committed to continuous learning and skill development.
A willingness to undertake role-relevant training and support the wider nursing team is essential. You will bring a passion for empowering patients to live healthier lives, using your expertise in health prevention, screening, and the early management of long-term conditions.

Job responsibilities
You will strive to continuously deliver quality and safe services to a high standard. The post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver excellent nursing care and to maximise Practice income such as QOF and enhanced service contracts.
Essential Responsibilities for the Practice Nurse:
1. Venepuncture
2. Blood pressure measurement
3. ECG administration
4. Height/Weight/BMI assessments
5. Health promotion activities
6. Childhood and adult immunisations
7. Wound care
8. Contraception management
9. Cervical screening
10. Spirometry
11. Long-term condition management (, Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)
