Job Description
As a Methods Engineer, you will provide technical support for Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) installation at Hinkley Point C. You will support site technical queries, contractor interfaces, and installation documentation, ensuring a smooth and compliant execution of works.
⚡️ Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance in all site activities.
⚡️ Review installation procedures and documentation for NSSS scope.
⚡️ Train site supervision teams on procedural implementation.
⚡️ Identify and manage interfaces with other contractors (civil, piping, electrical, commissioning).
⚡️ Support the Project Manager in issuing complex installation sequences.
⚡️ Provide expertise on technical challenges such as LPWHT, inner grinding, and routing.
⚡️ Collect and apply operational experience (OPEX) insights to installation activities.
⚡️ Validate and communicate EM4 reporting in NSSS weekly meetings.
Qualifications
Essential Skills &
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry .
Strong understanding of quality management, nuclear safety, and documentation control .
Extensive experience in site installation, preferably in the nuclear sector .
Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams .
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong leadership to drive efficient project delivery .
Ability to work independently while recognising limitations and seeking support where needed .
Desired Skills &
Qualifications
✔️ Degree in Mechanical Engineering .
✔️ Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it).
✔️ In-depth knowledge of PWR design and NSSS systems .
✔️ Familiarity with RCC-M and CDM Regulations .
