The role
As a Container Services Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in managing customer relationships and ensuring that all requirements and service levels are met from the initial customer enquiry through to the successful completion of the job. You will be working as a team and have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, all while sharing our culture and belief of health and safety being the number one priority.
Key responsibilities
* Maintain strong and effective relationships with customers, acting as their main point of contact.
* Manage customer enquiries, ensuring all requirements are understood and addressed efficiently.
* Ensure all cargo movements are booked onto the quay in line with customer requirements including releases as required.
* Arrange with the customers pick-up and collection of equipment as required to complete the job.
* Upload jobs onto TOPS.
* Maintain and update any work in PDS / TOPS or other systems as required.
* Finalise jobs on internal systems with revenue and costs to allow them to be processed for invoicing.
* File documentation in a timely structured and methodical manner both on the system and hard copy.
About you
* Previous administration experience.
* Previous experience of shipping lines, port operations, haulage and/or container operations.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong team player.
* Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure, whilst making key decisions.
* A working knowledge of PC applications; Microsoft and Outlook.
It’s great, but not required, if you:
* Have knowledge of TOPS, Port Container Systems for VBS booking.
