Job Title: HR Business Partner Location: South West Region Salary: Competitive Car We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing team as a HR Business Partner The perfect candidate will have an accurate understanding of current legislative requirements affecting people, good business acumen and commercial awareness with the ability to identify key issues and risks before they arise. You will be required to leverage data and insights to align and implement the People and Company strategy and develop tactical, innovative, and commercially viable people solutions, fostering supportive yet challenging business partnerships. Key Accountabilities: Partner and maintain strong relationships with Senior Leadership to identify talent at all levels, ensuring appropriate development plans are in place. Utilise Company programmes, internal resources, and external apprenticeships to develop our colleagues, focusing on quality over volume. Influence, coach, and challenge business leaders to support both high and poor performers through a leadership approach aligned with our culture. Create robust succession plans aligned with anticipated business growth to deliver a sustainable workforce. Collaborate with HR Specialists to develop future-proof recruitment, development, pay, and benefits plans to drive retention, informed by data and analysis. Use insights to identify and create commercial solutions to deliver key people metrics, including but not limited to LTO, absence, Store contract, and profiles. Support Specialist and Operational HR teams to provide leaders with the resources, knowledge, and skills they need to effectively manage their teams, resulting in a stronger, more autonomous management structure. Act as a point of escalation for HR case management advice, adhering to relevant policy and legislative requirements while maintaining a commercial edge. Collaborate with business leaders and specialists on any business change impacting people to deliver maximum retention and engagement. Drive employee engagement by influencing and guiding business leaders on the effective application of Talking Shop and Pulse outputs. Provide useful, timely, accurate, and user-friendly information to support Regional performance and the overall People Plan. Work collaboratively with central/specialists to create, support, provide feedback, and embed actions and measures towards the overall business goal of being The Best Place to Work. Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines. High level of personal and professional credibility and integrity at a senior level. Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within the business. Organisational design experience. Experience in the Retail Industry or other fast-paced environments. Proven HR Business Partner experience desirable. Confident and experienced in digitally operated business. Proficient and confident using web-based computer systems including Office suite. Qualifications: Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent desirable.
