Job Description:
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of the employee relations function. Your role will involve managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
2. Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
3. Conduct thorough investigations and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
4. Develop and implement strategies to improve employee relations and engagement.
5. Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure consistent and fair application of policies.
6. Monitor and analyse ER metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
7. Support and coach managers in handling employee relations matters effectively.
8. Mediate and facilitate conflict resolution between employees and management.
9. Assist in the development and delivery of ER training programmes for managers and employees.
10. Keep up to date with changes in employment law and ensure the company's policies and procedures remain compliant.
11. Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required, contributing ER expertise.
Requirements:
1. Extensive experience in Employee Relations, with a proven track record of managing complex ER cases.
2. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
4. Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of staff.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
