Fixed term until 30/06/2026 Full time – 37 hours per week; also open to part-time applications The Sheffield Institute of Social Sciences at Sheffield Hallam University is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Town Planning. You will teach on our urban planning courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as Degree Apprenticeships. The role involves designing and teaching modules in areas across our courses, in order to deliver a challenging and engaging learning experience for our students and degree apprentices. There will be an opportunity to engage in research activity and contribute to the research profile of the Institute. You may have a background in Town Planning, but we would be particularly interested in anyone with knowledge or experience of urban design & master planning, conservation & heritage and transport & infrastructure. Whilst this is a full-time role, this is also a good opportunity for a professional in practice seeking to move to academia, and so we particularly welcome applicants seeking to combine a part-time post with continuing with their industry career.
