Fixed term, 3 year apprenticeship.\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Gas Engineer to join the existing Gas Servicing team within Curb. As an Apprentice Gas Engineer you will benefit from learning on the job working with experienced Gas Engineerâs and attend college to obtain an SVQ3 qualification. At the end of the 3-year apprenticeship you will be able to apply for Gas Safe certification. The Apprentice Gas Engineer will work under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor, carrying out all aspects of Gas Servicing/maintenance service and reactive maintenance in Linkâs properties.\n\nAs part of the apprenticeship, attendance at City of Glasgow College is required to complete an SVQ Level 3 award. Attendance at college will be in two week blocks.\n You will have 4 Standard Grades at Level 3/4 or above or the new National 5 in relevant subjects as an entry requirement. You are required to pass an assessment in order to be accepted onto the college course. This will be administered via Microsoft Teams by the BESA (Building Engineering Services Association) and carried out prior to interview.\n\nThe successful candidate will be a good communicator with a willingness to work flexibly with other Maintenance Operatives in the team, a commitment to providing excellent customer care and the ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.\n\nA commitment to completing the required practical and academic training requirements of the apprenticeship is essential, together with the ability and willingness to obtain drivers licence by year 2 of your apprenticeship.
