Job Description Deputy Nursery Manager Salary: Up to £30,000 40 hours per week We are seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our client’s team and assist in the day-to-day operations of their nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early years education, strong leadership skills, and the ability to support the Nursery Manager in providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for their children. This role offers a clear progression path and provides opportunities to develop skills in leadership, staff management, and operational oversight. Qualifications Level 3 in Early Years or above experience in early childhood education, including progressively responsible roles with demonstrated leadership skills Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of the nursery environment Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of staff and build strong relationships with families Additional Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement staff training programs, strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in educational technology and tools, familiarity with financial management and reporting. Benefits: Generous annual leave Discounted childcare Pension scheme Social and team events Free uniforms Paid training Responsibilities Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery Support and guide the nursery staff in implementing the curriculum and ensuring high-quality care for all children Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff Help in managing parent communication and engagement, including meetings and events Contribute to staff training and development initiatives, including performance evaluations and coaching Assist in administrative duties, such as budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping Act as a role model for staff and children, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion Progression Path: Take on additional responsibilities related to staff management, operations, and strategic planning to prepare for advancement to Nursery Manager or other leadership roles within the organization.
