One of the world's largest engineering product manufacturers in Oxfordshire is looking for Aircraft Fitters on a permanent basis. Your main duties will include conducting the certification of maintenance and repair on client products, specifically on Airbus rotorcraft AS350, AS355 Series, AS365, EC120, EC130, EC135, EC145, and EC155.
Fitter to License Programme
The company will pay for a proportion of the module, exams, and accommodation while on the course. The programme starts after a successful 6-month probation period. During the probation, you will be required to complete 3 modules, funded by yourself. The remainder of the modules will be funded by the company. Bond requirements cover 3 years within the company during the modules, and the bond would remain in force for 2 years after you become a certifying engineer.
Main Responsibilities
1. Accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
2. Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations, most importantly Part 145, Part M, and UK ANO requirements is essential.
3. Completion of maintenance, including product structure, power plant, and mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.
5. Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
6. Required to assist in the day-to-day running of the area, including product movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills
Candidates without a licence but with extensive aircraft maintenance experience that are in the process of studying for a licence will also be considered. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a rotary environment is required. Type training on specific types will be given to a suitable candidate. Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance. Applicants must meet any/all requirements of ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations. Travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements (not extensive) as required.
Compensation
