Job summary
Welbeck Surgery is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic person to join our team as a Receptionist/Administrator. The available hours are full time ( over a weekly shift pattern. Flexibility with compressing hours over 4 days is possible.
This is an extremely busy role which requires hard work, the ability to multi task and a good sense of humour. You will need to be able to deal with multiple different demands on your time, be able to prioritise to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner, have excellent customer service skills and a smart, professional appearance. Previous relevant experience is desirable but full training will be given.

Main duties of the job
1. Manage the reception desk ensuring clinics run smoothly and efficiently.
2. Excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and face to face.
3. The ability to prioritise daily work to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.

5. Receiving patients and visitors courteously and efficiently.
6. Undertaking a variety of admin duties.
7. Workflow support with appropriate coding.
8. Attending team training events as part of ongoing development.

This role will greet, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. 9. Managethe reception desk ensuring surgeries run smoothly and efficiently
10. Answeringthe telephone, taking messages, and passing them on appropriately
11. Actioningany queries for repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
12. Toprovide point of contact for patients and to act as a focal point ofcommunication between, patients, doctors, and other members of the PrimaryHealth Care Teams
13. Completing all reception/administration task as necessary
14. Openingand closing the practice as and when necessary ensuring the reception, officeand consulting rooms are prepared in readiness for the next session
15. Photocopying,scanning, and shredding as requested
16. Ensuringconfidentiality is maintained at all times
17. Havinga thorough knowledge of all practice procedures and policies
18. Workingin accordance with written protocols
19. Completingany tasks allocated by managers or GPs.
20. Carry out system searches as requested
21. Maintain waiting area and notice boards
22. Attendingteam training events as part of ongoing development and training
23. Assistingin the filing of medical records/results
24. Attendingprotected learning time sessions when required
25. Registeringpatients as per the practices policy and procedures
26. Takinga lead role in a specialised area as part of ongoing personal developed asallocated by the practice manager
