Mechanical Production Technician Are you a Production Technician looking to join a successful company? We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Mechanical Production Technician who will be responsible of a variety of production tasks over a wide product range. You will be responsible for the manufacture and testing of mechanical systems. Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Production Technician: • To carry out various motor builds & assemblies following detailed drawings and adhering to assembly procedures • Assist in the communication of errors in drawings or assembly to the Production Engineers/Section Leaders • Assist with the implementation of lean manufacturing systems • Adhere to control processes to achieve conforming product • Working to high tolerances and complex drawings • Be aware and complaint with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements • Appropriate training will be provided to be able to perform the various manufacturing operations Knowledge and experience of the Mechanical Production Technician: • A completed apprenticeship in a relevant field desirable but not essential • Able to read mechanical complex drawings • Have a solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and equipment desirable but not essential • Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of mechanical systems • Sound knowledge and experience to diagnose and faut find on mechanical equipment • Understands the principles and need for production control documentation and traceability • Able to trace faults in end product and identify production inefficiencies and suggest solutions • Possess a working knowledge of ISO 9000 requirements in a production environment • Have previous experience of working to high tolerances With a reputation for providing innovative underwater systems for the Royal Navy (RN) and export customers, AEUK operates from our Headquarters on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
