About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Technical Systems Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
As a Technical Systems Analyst you will be responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that align with our client’s business needs. This role serves as a critical link between business teams, IT departments, and stakeholders, ensuring efficient use of systems and driving process improvements through technology. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements
* Evaluate current systems to identify areas for improvement or optimisation
* Design solutions to meet business needs, ensuring compatibility with existing systems
* Perform system configurations, testing, and deployment
* Oversee data integration and system migrations as needed
* Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams
* Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders
* Provide technical guidance and support during project lifecycles
* Monitor and maintain system performance and reliability
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
* Develop and maintain system documentation, user manuals, and training materials
* Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency using technology solutions
* Recommend best practices and contribute to the development of IT strategies
* Ensure systems meet regulatory and security standards
* Implement and enforce policies related to system usage and data protection
About You
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role
* Experience with systems integration, database management, and enterprise software solutions
* Proficiency in programming languages, SQL, and system scripting
* Familiarity with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, or custom platforms)
* Knowledge of system architecture and data flow
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Relevant certifications, such as ITIL, CBAP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
