Quality Inspector (Night Shift) - Aerospace Engineering Location: Chelmsford Are you a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience in aerospace manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Quality Inspector to join our client based in Chelmsford. This role plays a key part in ensuring the high-quality standards are met before products are released to customers. If you have a strong background in inspection, testing, and compliance within an AS9100 environment, apply As a Quality Inspector, you will be required to: Inspect and test aerospace components to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. Verify subcontract purchase orders and incoming certifications for conformance. Conduct FAIR, qualification, and final release activities, including COFC sign-off. Use a range of precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, CMMs, shadowgraphs). Ensure product traceability, batch control, and FOD compliance. Monitor subcontractor performance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Handle customer and supplier interactions regarding quality issues.Experience required: Experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision engineering. Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
