A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is expanding its Health & Safety team and seeking an experienced Principal Designer & CDM Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse sectors including commercial, education, housing, leisure, logistics, and civil engineering.
You’ll be a key part of the project lifecycle—delivering expert CDM guidance, ensuring compliance, and acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations.
What We’re Looking For:

Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and construction H&S legislation
*
Experience delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor duties
*
NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or Diploma
*
Relevant H&S professional memberships (e.g. IOSH, APS)
*
Practical site-based experience across varied sectors
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
Proactive, commercially aware, and self-motivated
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Key Responsibilities:
*
Lead CDM compliance throughout pre-construction
*
Facilitate design meetings and risk workshops
*
Review and monitor CDM compliance from design teams and contractors
*
Assess Construction Phase Plans and conduct on-site inspections
*
Manage and issue Health & Safety Files at project close
*
Ensure company protocols and CDM processes are upheld
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and teams
