The role will ensure that technical specifications for projects are clearly defined and will support pricing and bid processes. The manager will balance both office and field responsibilities, ensuring regular progress reviews and KPI assessments. Key Responsibilities: Define technical specifications for projects. Support the pricing and bid process, managing approvals through the business. Balance office and field-based work to meet customer, sales, and business needs. Participate in regular progress and KPI reviews, including weekly Comm Cells and 1-1s with the line manager. Engage in both proactive and reactive sales tasks.Skills & Experience Required: High level of initiative and a proactive mindset. Strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze data quickly. Experience in managing sales targets, profitability, and customer engagement. Demonstrable sales experience, particularly in a senior role. Experience working in a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of MS Office. Experience in railway engineering, particularly in plant and equipment. Proven project management skills. Experience in market research and analysis to support business development.Qualifications: Degree level education or equivalent.
