Location: Rochdale (Hybrid - 2 days office)
4-5 days a week, depending on experience
Short term contract (3-6 months)
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

Westco Communications is seeking a proactive and creative Internal Communication Officer to enhance the communication strategies within a key public sector client in Greater Manchester.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in implementing internal communication initiatives that foster engagement and improve employee engagement.. Working closely with team members, you will support the delivery of effective communication that aligns with the organisation's goals and mission.
Requirements
You will be responsible for:
* Assisting in the development and implementation of internal communication plans.
* Creating engaging content for various channels, including newsletters, intranet, and staff announcements.
* Supporting staff engagement activities, such as events and surveys to gather employee feedback.
* Collaborating with different departments to ensure consistent messaging.
* Measuring the effectiveness of communication efforts through evaluation techniques.
* Contributing to crisis communication strategies when necessary.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in internal communications or a related field.
* Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
* Ability to create engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
* Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Understanding of public sector communication practices is a plus.
