Job Description
The Job Mission
As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering Nuclear New Build projects, working on full lifecycle engineering activities. You will support senior engineers and help design and develop electrical systems that meet nuclear safety and operational requirements.
1. Support the design of electrical systems and components to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
2. Formulate and propose solutions to emerging technical challenges.
3. Evaluate system performance, reliability, and safety through analysis and testing.
4. Modify and adapt designs based on customer specifications.
5. Develop and maintain documentation related to electrical equipment.
6. Work alongside senior engineers to estimate project budgets and scopes.
7. Analyse technical drawings to assess feasibility and compliance.
8. Identify risks and opportunities in design and implementation.
My profile
1. BEng or MSc in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. 1+ years experience in electrical engineering within a regulated industry.
3. Understanding of safety legislation and a strong safety culture.
4. Ability to work independently with self-motivation and initiative.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
1. Knowledge of materials used in electrical systems.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose effective solutions.
3. Ability to translate complex technical topics into simple explanations.
4. Experience in analysing large data sets to support engineering decisions.
5. Ability to influence stakeholders and balance project risks.
