Due to the continued success of Capgemini Engineering’s Smart Factory Division, we are actively recruiting an experienced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solution Architect to join our group. You will be part of a multi-skilled team where you can apply your comprehensive understanding of the production manufacturing environment, shaping MES technological infrastructure and associated process-driven workflows that address customer-specific needs. Due to the nature of the work, you must be eligible to obtain UK SC level security clearance. Your Role • Advise customers on how to upgrade/adopt MES, considering industry compliance, security governance, and production dataflow processes. • Lead early MES life scoping and shaping for project delivery, to support customer’s business case development and portfolio investment decisions. • Liaise with customer and CG internal project management teams to formulate deployment plans and migration/upgrade strategies. • Communicate with other complimentary internal/external technology solution teams to ensure any proposed MES solution is successfully deployed with the appropriate level of secure and supporting system interconnectivity. • Develop and create ‘Information Assurance’ and updates to design documentation for customer review and approval. • Contribute ideas to support customer’s continuous improvement initiatives. • Carry out any other duties within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. At all times, ensure that company Policies, Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to. So, what do you need? • 8-10 years of experience in a global manufacturing corporation using MES • Extensive knowledge of C# & SQL coding languages • Knowledge of the connection options between ERP, PLM and MES. • Provide leadership to opportunity pursuits, prepare proposals, participate in customer workshop sessions. • Translate RFP/RFI or verbal requirements gathered in customer meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals. • Ability to communicate with manufacturing plant teams, including super users, end users, MRPs (Material Requirements Planners) and senior plant management. Desirables: • Working knowledge of Siemens Opcenter APS and Execution software platforms. • Experience of agile working practices. • Aware of future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support customer technical requirements. Your Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required. There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
