Cover Supervisor - Northumberland Secondary Schools Protocol Education is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Northumberland. If you enjoy working with young people and want to gain valuable experience in education, this is an excellent opportunity for you to step into a classroom and help ensure continuity in students’ learning when teachers are absent. Responsibilities : Supervise students during the lesson in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that they are working effectively and maintaining a productive environment. Ensure students follow the planned lesson and complete their assignments while encouraging engagement and participation. Manage student behaviour, maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere. Support students’ learning by answering questions and providing guidance where needed. Monitor student progress and report back to the teacher regarding any issues or concerns. Promote positive behaviour, inclusivity, and respect for others. What We’re Looking For : Excellent communication and organisational skills. Confidence in managing classrooms and dealing with a wide range of student needs. Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred but not essential. A proactive and flexible approach to working in different classroom environments.
