The Seagate Derry / Londonderry Manufacturing site has been open for 30 years this year. We have over 1400 people working in our facility which is among the most advanced in the world, in the design, development, and volume manufacturing of recording heads.
About the role - you will:
The successful candidate will collaborate in a team environment to determine the capital and capacity required for the development and manufacturing of Seagate’s technology and product roadmap. You will also impact the bottom line of the business by taking responsibility for developing efficient world-class manufacturing processes & systems using analytical data to determine the most efficient utilisation of personnel and equipment.
The identification, management and resolution of bottlenecks and becoming a champion of change will also be part of your brief. You will have demonstrated strong organisational skills with the ability to work on your own initiative, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
About you:
You will be a self-starter with the ability to solve problems quickly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and meet critical organisational goals and objectives. You will be a creative thinker with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the team.
Your experience includes:
* Recently graduated from or in the final year of your degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in an engineering or mathematical related degree program.
You might also have:
• Exposure to mathematical optimization techniques.
• Exposure to providing continuous improvement in a Manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to using statistical techniques for problem solving.

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working.
